Resorption of Calcification Lesions in Pulmonary Tuberculosis
ÀÌÂù¼¼/Chcn see Lee
Abstract
The anthor reported one case of complete resorption of calcification lesions in primary
pulmonary tuberculosis of 11 years old girl.
Two nadules, (One large, one small), of calcification definitely visulized after about
two years of the first diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis.
One year later of this calcification, the X-ray priture showed almost complete
resorption of the small calcification nodule and the X-ray of another two years later
showed complete disappearance of the remaining larger calcification nodule from the
picture. This meant the time for complete resorption of calcification in this case needed
about 3 years after the calcification.
The author speculated that although it had been very rarely observed clinically, if we
pay more attention to this phenomen, the possibility of resorption of calcification in
pulmonary tuberculosis would occur more oftener than previously believed to be.
